Complete Dentures

Upper and Lower Complete Dentures
Conventional complete dentures are made by making impressions of the upper and lower denture bearing tissues. They are constructed using identifiable anatomical structures and relationships. The overall contruction of convention CD requires step by step prosthodontic procedure to provide optimal retention and stability. The dentist has control of the changes that are required. There is also an opportunity to undertake impressions of denture bearing areas under optimal conditions.
Complete dentures, also known as full dentures, are contructed in the following steps:
1. Preliminary impressions are made using stock trays.
2. Final impressions are made using custom tray.
3. Wax dentures are tried in.
4. Processed dentures are delivered.
5. Patient recall.
